Instructions:
Using the Sculpey III to create the letter tiles, make the words FAITH, HOPE and PEACE with the KL letters. Make other various tiles by flattening out a sheet of black clay about 6 inches x 6 inches. Cut square and rectangular shapes using a razor blade. Press various script stamps into the clay to create texture. Use the KL texture sheets to create reptile and swirl textured tiles. Bake all the pieces using manufacturer's instructions for the clay. Let cool down before proceeding with the next step. While those are cooling down you can paint up the other tiles. Use sandpaper to rough up some of the ready made tiles if they are shiny. Apply colored Metallic paints to the tiles in a random order. Adhere collage images to several of the tiles to add interest. Make the background piece by layering black and gold felt on top of a heavy cardstock or lightweight board. Turn under the top edge and leave room to insert a dowel. You can glue the edge or sew it, it's up to you. Add the tiles and torso, and wings to the top of the felt. Form words and designs- just have fun with this part! Add the fringe on all four edges. Insert the dowel through the top and attach tassels to the ends. Wrap the ends with a black cord, hang and enjoy!
