Employment History 16 years as a Public Servant mainly as a Training Officer
specializing in Customer Service Skills,
Researcher and sometimes Tour Escort in Wholesale Travel working in Australia,
the UK, Europe and New Zealand and Tutoring Small Business Management in the
TAFE system here in Melbourne, Australia.
In late 1990 I was introduced to the colourful world of PRINT GOCCO. I offered a
short run Business Stationery service & printed Wedding Stationery & Greeting
Cards. My husband, Grumpy, and I attended a few local Craft Markets on usually
cold and wet Sunday mornings for quite a few years to advertise my new venture.
We were attracting the "new crafters" Rubber Stampers, as Krafty Lady also
operated as STATIONERY by the PIECE.
1990 Joined the SE Small Business Network & was voted the Most Successful Small
Business that year
1991 Featured in the Melbourne Herald Sun Business Section in September
1992 Designed & ran Small Business courses part time at the Outer Eastern TAFE
1993 After meeting a few innovative Stampers in the USA I was exposed to
fantastic techniques and art materials that Stamp Artists were incorporating
into this craft. KRAFTY LADY was appointed the Australasian Distributor for
STAMPSCAPES™ and was unofficially dubbed the "Brayer Queen". (Effective Sept 9,
2003 I am no longer the distributor for Stampscapes).
1994 saw the successful launch of KRAFTY LADY designs at the inaugural Melbourne
Women's Weekly Craft Fair.
1998 Convened the Rubber Downunder Convention in Melbourne for the newly formed
AASIA (Inc)
1998 In March I escorted a group of 21 Stampers on Australia's Original Rubber
Stamp Holiday to the US West Coast attending numerous classes and the Carson
Convention.
1998 In July Krafty Lady Australiana stamp designs featured in Somerset Studio &
we launched the stamp range at the Carson Convention. I have even tutored classes
in the US (thanks Dee of Posh Impressions for that opportunity).
1999 R&P Stamps were introduced in Brisbane.
2001 Krafty Lady ART MOULDS© were released in Sydney.
2001 The ART MOULDS© were initially exported to the USA in November & featured
on the Stampington Shopping web site.
2002 My first instruction book, Metallic Wearables and more, as a collaboration
with Cathy Daulman of My Stamps, was released by Design Originals (USA) in
March.
2002 We officially launched the ART MOULDS© in the UK and Europe in London
September.
2004 Attended the inaugural SENZ in Hamilton, NZ in September
2005 November: Krafty Lady Art Moulds© featured in Vamp Stamp News
2006 Appointed AfterMidnight Art Stamps as our US Distributor and showcased at
CHA, Las Vegas in January
2006 June: Interviewed on Diva Craft Lounge - listen to the interview here
Every year my DH (Grumpy) and I search exotic locations for inspiration for the
Art Moulds©. I always manage to keep loads of ephemera on my travels. The Shadow
Box project has given me an opportunity to incorporate some favourite bits from
my ample stash.
