Kristine challenged the design team to create 5 items with one mould. We got to Kristine challenged the design team to create 5 items with one mould. We got to pick a few moulds each and below are the results, and new pieces are constantly added, so do come back!

also used translucent, green and blue Sculpey III, and Antique Silver Pearl Ex. Also various silver jewellery findings.

also used red mix of polymer clays, and gold leafing flakes. Earring findings adhered with Super Glue/Crazy Glue.

Lapel or Hat Pin

also used a mix of clays (Sculpey III), Rose Gold Jo Sonja paint as "patina", and a stick pin with pad, and hat pin protector (the end bit), and E6000 glue.
  

 

Black and White ATC

Cast made with Black Sculpey III, rubbed with White Pearl Ex prior to curing. Stamps by Collections.
Bobby Pins
using
AM112 Med 6 Petal Flower

Purple, Violet, and Spring Lilac Sculpey III were each mixed with a bit of white Sculpey III to attenuate the colour ever so slightly, the polymer clay was then marbled, and bobby pins were pressed in the back of the cast prior to unmoulding the piece. The pieces were baked, and the clips were then glued in place with E6000 glue.

Oriental Booklet - Pretty
using
AM112 Med 6 Petal Flower

Made with Sculpey III translucent and a wee bit of Leaf Green to imitate jade. Antique Bronze Pearl Ex was brushed on the casting (with a finger) before curing. Varnished with Pledge One Go.

Cast with Sculpey III, cured, and highlighted with Jo Sonja Rich Gold. The clip is set in the clay before baking the clay.
Greece

Also a blend of Gold, White, Translucent and Pearl Blue Sculpey III Polymer Clay.
German Scraps by Artchix, and stamp by Beeswax Rubber Stamps. Technique used: stamping on quick laminate (clear sticky sheet), and colouring on the reverse with Pearl Ex.
Spiral Bead for a Swap

AMKT10 X4Lge Filigree Texture

Made with FIMO Translucent Clay, and Alizarin Crimson Premo. The pieces were cast, cured, then painted with a wash of Rose Gold Jo Sonja paint with a bit of Pledge One Go. When that was dried, they were given another coat of Pledge One Go. The back of the piece was done by pressing the texture sheet prior to unmoulding the piece (saves on sanding!).

Premo and translucent Sculpey III  mixed for a "faux jade" look. Faux Polished Stone background, butterflies by About Art Accents.
The back of the ATC reads:
"Spring brings forth bright butterflies, to waken a sleeping Buddha" A.W., Ph.D.
Wisdom

Mix of Premo colours for the casting, background from magazine page sprayed with CitroClean, image by About Art Accents.
I picked this mould for my challenge because I like Oriental Stamping. I find this Buddha to be a calm and serene icon.

This card was also published in VampStampNews, the stamp is by About Art Accents. The coin was cast in black hot glue in a Pearl Ex dusted mould.
The background is gyprock tape embossed with VersaMark and Gold EP.

translucent clay mixing a wee bit of emerald green with transluscent, then adding a bit of white if necessary. I rubbed it with Interference Green Pearl Ex prior to baking.

A Day at the Races

The horse was cast in Makin's Clay in Terra Cotta and rubbed with Treasure Gold (Classic). the crackle stamp was stamped in VersaMark and embossed in Gold. The tags were provided by Krafty Lady, as were the Krafty Fibres.

Horse cast with Delight Air Dry Modelling Compound, painted with black Gesso, and highlighted with Treasure Gold Wax (Gold). The horse stamp is by Inkastamps and the Thank You stamp is my own design.

Horse cast from a mix of White and Translucent Sculpey III. Background a la Bernie Berlin (Fresco Resin) painted Plaid Sandstone and Jo Sonja Rose Gold, stamped Harlequin Backgorund (Inkastamps) with Jo Sonja Pale Gold acrylic paint, the other images were stamped with a black Memories inkpad. The horse's head was highlighted with the Rose Gold paint (my brush still had some Sandstone on it when I painted with the Rose Gold which attenuated the shimmer of the Rose Gold and gave it an "old rose" appearance. The stamp is an Australian postage stamp honouring jockeys.

Necklace

This is a mix of scrap clay (burgundy in colour) and Gold Sculpey III. The face was partially cast and then trimmed with a tissue blade. A hole was made in the bead prior to baking, using 20g Artistic Wire.
The necklace was strung on tiger tail.
Wish Bottle

Used a blend of Premo/Sculpey III Clays, and a mokume gane technique to cover this little glass bottle. The Mask was cast in black Premo and highlights of mokume gane added, then brushed with gold Pearl Ex.

Technique based on the Mokume Gane, using Premo Gold, Cobalt Blue mixed with a bit of translucent, and Gold mixed with Yellow, as well as gold leaf.
The pieces were cast, holes were pierced, and they were cured. They were then varnished with Pledge One Go.

Necklace

Using a mix of gold, chocolate, and chocolate/gold Sculpey III, which I rolled, then folded, and rolled again until I got this texture. I put the last fat snake through the pasta machine. I then rolled back the bottom of the fan to make a hole for the wire. This necklace was threaded on wire.
