I then stuck a magnet on the back (the back of the backside that is!) and it's the cutest itty bittiest magnet!

Cast using the Faux Abalone tutorial from the Polymer Clay Central, made with Sculpey III clays, though I would recomment using some Premo Black instead of the Sculpey III Black for this technique.

AM183 XLge Scarab Fragment

Moulds cast with red Sculpey III (this wasn't pure red, it had a few other scraps in there), and painted with Pearl Ex before baking.
The elastic is held by hot glue which was used to adhere the Scarab. Even if the knot is on the left, this little book opens nicely.
You can see a Tutorial on how to make those booklets here. In Australia the brand Highland is very common for those sticky notes.

Blend of Kato Translucent Polymer Clay, and Purple Sculpey III. The head dress was cast with one mix, which was "fitted" with the blunt end of a satay skewer, then the mould was filled with the other mix. The larger image shows many more of the same cast.

AMKT10 X4Lge Filigree Texture

Made with FIMO Translucent Clay, and Alizarin Crimson Premo. The pieces were cast, cured, then painted with a wash of Rose Gold Jo Sonja paint with a bit of Pledge One Go. When that was dried, they were given another coat of Pledge One Go. The back of the piece was done by pressing the texture sheet prior to unmoulding the piece (saves on sanding!).

Also used Opals, above are the front view and back views. I like how the opals is different depending on whether it's the beginning of the pour (the face inside the mould) or how you finished pouring (the back of the mould). I painted a coat of Pledge One Go on the front side (on the left) to give it a bit more shine.

The moulds were partially cast with a mix of green and pearl blue Sculpey, and the back was cast with a mix of that same colour with some gold and black. I rubbed a bit of gold Pearl Ex on the accents, and letters.
An elastic string was attached to the mould, and fits around the neck of the water bottle. Ideal for school when everyone ends up with similar Decor bottles!
