The wall hanging started off as a dinner place mat. Lay out SOYSILK® (neutrals)
and sprayed it with textile medium (Jo Sonja’s) and shimmering mist (Lumin
Arte), let dry. Make each section, and then sew them together.

Cut handmade paper into pyramid shapes and layer on SOYSILK® Fusion. Spray with
textile medium (Jo Sonja’s) and shimmering mist (Lumin Arte), while still wet
sprinkle on Opals Embossing Enamels and heat, add more opals while still hot
until the results are pleasing. Place a stamp into the opals while still hot and let
cool then remove.
Make the casts with Polymer Clay (Kato) and paint with Aleen’s
Tack-It Over & Over mixed with water. Once dry cover with Fashion Flakes Gold
Leaf (After Midnight) burnishing with a soft sponge. Use super glue to attach to
the pyramids.

Make texture cast by covering the Krafty Lady Moulding mats with lightweight
texture paste (Golden’s) and letting it dry overnight. Color with shimmering
mist (Lumin Arte) and Color Wash (Ranger). Make the Funky W cast with SOYSILK
Fusion Fibers (Age of Aquarius) pressed into the art mould then filled with Jo
Sonja’s textile medium and let it dry in the mould. Rub with metallic
rubb-ons. Make the Queen Nefertiti and Med Egyptian Bug casts with Polymer Clay
(Kato) and paint with Aleen’s Tack-It Over & Over mixed with water. Once dry
cover with Fashion Flakes Gold Leaf (After Midnight) burnishing with a soft
sponge. Glue the queen onto the W cast. Cover a piece of Midnight Glass with
Opals Embossing Enamels, and glue to the cast of Bamboo Texture.

Spray with textile medium (Jo Sonja’s), while still wet blend in some acrylic
paint. Make the Funky Z cast with SOYSILK® Fusion Fibers (Age of Aquarius)
pressed into the art mould then filling with Jo Sonja’s textile medium and let
dry in the mould, rub with metallic rub-ons. Make the Queen Nefertiti and Half
Circle casts with Polymer Clay (Kato) and paint with Aleen’s Tack-It Over & Over
mixed with water. Once dry cover with Fashion Flakes Gold Leaf (After Midnight)
burnishing with a soft sponge. Glue the queen onto the Z cast. Make Egyptian
Bugs with Kato Polymer Clay colored with alcohol inks once, dry lightly sand to
reveal texture. |
