Egyptian Cuff
using
AM069 Med Egyptian Hieroglyphics

Also used Sculpey Ultra Light Oven Bake Clay, Lumiere Paint, Patina Rub ‘n Buff, bone beads, wooden beads, 26g copper wire and beading cord.

I cast 2 Egyptian Glyphs to make this piece. Before baking, I pressed a bodkin needle across the back of one piece to mark channels for the wire to be threaded through. I placed the two casts together, back to back, and then baked so no adhesive was necessary.

Also Delight Air Dry Modelling Compound, Lumiere paint, tyvek paper, heat bonding Angelina fibres, alphabet beads, beading wire, textured cardstock, Encore! Ultimate Metallics gold inkpad.

To create the bubbly effect on the tyvek and to bond the Angelina fibres to the paper, use a dry iron set to cotton. Place a layer of Angelina fibres on to a sheet of baking paper and then the painted tyvek paper on top. Place another sheet of baking paper over the tyvek and then iron for a short while. The tyvek will shrink and form a bubbly surface where there are no Angelina fibres and the fibres will bond to the tyvek.
