Kato Liquid Polymer Clay, Jacquard alcohol inks, AMACO Rub 'n Buff, Pavelka's
Magic-Glos
The colors are alcohol inks mixed into liquid polymer clay and painted into the
crevices of the butterfly. After the clay is cured apply Rub 'n Buff lightly
onto the very top to accent the raised bits, then cover it in Magic-Glos and
leave it outside in the sun.
This butterfly is one of many in the
Holocaust Museum Houston's "The Butterfly Project" collection. I
encourage everyone to visit the link, read the poem "The Butterfly" by Pavel
Friedman and do what you can to help them meet their goal.

AM083 Med Seashore
Chocolate, gold and a brown mix of leftover polymer clays (were blended and
marbled to make this piece. The Seashore casts were cut to fit on each side of
the Fossil, on the barrette blank. The little "coral" bits were hand made. The
clay was glued onto the barrette with E6000 glue. |
Calendar
by France Chevalier (DT)
using
AM040 XLge Fossil Snail
This was done with scrap clay from a friend who makes gorgeous beads. I just
took a chunk of her clay and moulded it, and added a teeny bit of Antique Silver
Pearl Ex. I did however roll the scrap clay into a ball and swirled it (as if
making a swirl bead) before pressing it into the mould. |
Treasure
using
AM040 XLge Fossil Snail
Fossil cast with air dry clay, colour was added while making the background,
i.e. sponged with alcohol inks (Pinata). When the ink was dry, the fossil was
covered in gold paint, which was then wiped off the top with a slightly wet
sponge.
Dymo tape was coloured with Krylon Leafing Pen.
