Fun Foam Casts
by Zeborah Loray
using
AM014 Med Egyptian Bug
AM063 Sm Miss Froggy
AM138 Lge Fleur D'lyse Distressed
I tried using fun foam with the molds. Another very light weight material. Great
for adding to cards or ATCs.
I laid the fun foam over the mold and heated it from above with the Heat It
Craft Tool. If you over heat the fun foam it will burn through. The Heat it tool
is a lower temp heat gun that doesn't blow so hard. Great for using with
embossing powders too.
The fun foam will slump into the mold- while it is still warm I pressed it
firmly to get all the detail. Use a hot pad for this- the fun foam gets pretty
warm.
I used a little metallic buffing wax on some of these for a light touch of
color.

I cast 2 Egyptian Glyphs to make this piece. Before baking, I pressed a bodkin

Nefertiti needed just a bit of hair (and SOYSILK® Fusion is my new favourite

enough so that I could sandwich it between the head and her crown to hold it in
place. |

Extra bits: Fimo, Jack Johnston's Prosculpt, and SOYSILK® for her hair
I used alcohol ink to create the deep colors. To get the shape and look of hair i
held tightly to one end of the large bunch of SOYSILK® Fusion, and gently
pulled strands off the other end so that the lengths would be different. After
that i fluffed the hair and inserted it into a hole in the the clay. |

Trésors de la Mer
by France Chevalier (DT)
using
AM078 Med Conch Shell
Shell cast with Kato Translucent clay mixed with Tanzanite Embossing Powder from
A Paper Garden; straight Kato Translucent clay, and some KTC mixed with a drop
of blue Pinata ink. The beads were formed by hand. Silver beads and jewellery
findings were used. The necklace was strung on Tiger Tail (hence the strange
shape! I couldn't get it to stay put, but it falls really nicely when worn).

Abstract
by France Chevalier (DT)
using
AM078 Med Conch Shell
AMKT7 X4Lge Floral Texture
Using a mix
of gold, chocolate, and chocolate/gold Sculpey III, which I rolled, then folded,
and rolled again until I got this texture. I put the last fat snake through the
pasta machine.
I then cut a piece of the flat sheet of clay and pressed into it AMKT7 Floral
Texture, I used a piece to cast the conch shell and back-filled it with scrap
clay. The idea for this pendant was inspired by an article in a Designs Original
booklet. |

Encore! Ultimate Metallics gold inkpad.
To create the bubbly effect on the tyvek and to bond the Angelina fibres to the
paper, use a dry iron set to cotton. Place a layer of Angelina fibres on to a
sheet of baking paper and then the painted tyvek paper on top. Place another
sheet of baking paper over the tyvek and then iron for a short while. The tyvek
will shrink and form a bubbly surface where there are no Angelina fibres and the
fibres will bond to the tyvek.

Nature's Necklace

using
AM080 Lge Skeletal Leaf
also used Sculpey Ultralight and some green Premo to add colour to the
Ultralight. I baked it as per Ultralight directions. I used a headpin to pierce
the holes in the leaves, and draped them over alfoil rolled in a small tube
(about the size of a pencil) to give them some curve. I took care to sand the
sides and back when the leaves were cured so they would be smoother.
