cast

Backgorund (Inkastamps) with Jo Sonja Pale Gold acrylic paint, the other images
were stamped with a black Memories inkpad. The horse's head was highlighted with
the Rose Gold paint (my brush still had some Sandstone on it when I painted with
the Rose Gold which attenuated the shimmer of the Rose Gold and gave it an "old
rose" appearance.

Fun Foam Casts
by Zeborah Loray
using
AM014 Med Egyptian Bug
AM063 Sm Miss Froggy
AM138 Lge Fleur D'lyse Distressed
I tried using fun foam with the molds. Another very light weight material. Great
for adding to cards or ATCs.
I laid the fun foam over the mold and heated it from above with the Heat It
Craft Tool. If you over heat the fun foam it will burn through. The Heat it tool
is a lower temp heat gun that doesn't blow so hard. Great for using with
embossing powders too.
The fun foam will slump into the mold- while it is still warm I pressed it
firmly to get all the detail. Use a hot pad for this- the fun foam gets pretty
warm.
I used a little metallic buffing wax on some of these for a light touch of
color.

Beeswax was used to pour the moulds, and it was colored with a tiny bit of the
encaustic wax. Encaustic waxes have a lot of pitment, and a very intense colour,
so a little goes a long way.
The casts were finished with metallic buffing waxes and/or Pearl Ex to bring out
the detail. |

using
AM139 XXLge Fan No. 2 (partial)
Using a mix of gold, chocolate, and chocolate/gold Sculpey III, which I rolled,
then folded, and rolled again until I got this texture. I put the last fat snake
through the pasta machine. I then rolled back the bottom of the fan to make a
hole for the wire. This necklace was threaded on wire. |
