Jack Johnston's ProSculpt, Kato Polyclay, a brass tube, burnt umber oil paint
and some leather cord. Parts of both moulds were cut out and applied to the
face. The clay was cured, covered with oil paint then after a few minutes the
paint was rubbed off the raised bits leaving a nice deep glow. The back is
backfilled and has a brass tube running down the length for the leather to
travel through and to hold the weight.

interpretation. |

Coin cast with Arbee's Air Dry Clay. It was then broken, painted in "distress
fashion" with Jo Sonja Paints (red indian oxyde, and rich gold). The ATC was
covered with a coat of white Gesso, then paint, then the Ginkgo (Beeswax) was
embossed in gold. The ATC was sanded after edging with a gold leafing pen, again
to distress it.

assembled. I shaped the locks by placing them on a soda pop can to give them a
curve (a Syndee Holt technique).

then sponged with Sepia Archival ink. The booklet cover was stamped with
Archival Sepia. The book was unbound and the cover was used as a template, then
the book was reassembled. All stamps by Inkastamps.
