Jack Johnston's ProSculpt, Kato Polyclay, a brass tube, burnt umber oil paint and some leather cord. Parts of both moulds were cut out and applied to the face. The clay was cured, covered with oil paint then after a few minutes the paint was rubbed off the raised bits leaving a nice deep glow. The back is backfilled and has a brass tube running down the length for the leather to travel through and to hold the weight.
This pendant was made for Ornament Thursday  The month's theme was Independence and this was my interpretation.

AM178 XXLge Asian Coin no.5

Coin cast with Arbee's Air Dry Clay. It was then broken, painted in "distress fashion" with Jo Sonja Paints (red indian oxyde, and rich gold). The ATC was covered with a coat of white Gesso, then paint, then the Ginkgo (Beeswax) was embossed in gold. The ATC was sanded after edging with a gold leafing pen, again to distress it.
